Notes: Interesting here is the drone configuration of this "Lowland" or "Border" Pipe, which appears to be tenor-baritone-bass. Arguments, sometimes rather heated, can be found on the Web regarding the historical presence of a baritone drone (as opposed to two tenors, as found on the modern GHB). Why a pipe that is by definition of moderate volume would incorporate a duplicate pair of drones is difficult to fathom via logic. But logic not near the top of the toolkit in some quarters ...
